Thank you to all who came out and supported our first student art show! We are so proud of all of their hard work and want to congratulate each one of them on a wonderful art show!
Each grade had 4 categories they could enter and had a chance to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. Pictured below are our winners for this year’s show.
Great job everyone!

Mrs. Phillips taught Mr. R’s class how to make her famous breakfast burritos!
They were delicious!

They had a great time!

Our Superintendent, Mrs. Gilstrap, visited Mr. R’s class today and read them her book called “Little Red Learns to Obey”. She also gave each student their own copy to take home!
Thank you, Mrs. Gilstrap!

Don’t forget, the SGS Art Show will be this Thursday, 5-7 PM in the old gym! We have a lot of entries that will show you just how amazingly talented our students are!
Along with the art show, there will be a silent auction where we will be selling these two beautiful rocking chairs!
Each and every kiddo from pre-1st to 4th grade had a hand, or thumb, in creating these chairs! You won’t find chairs like this anywhere else! And covered in Strawberries! How great would one of these look in your home or workplace?
They will be auctioned off separately at the art show from 5-7 PM, so don’t miss out!

Third grade had their own egg hunt today!

4th grade zoomed with Astronaut John Herrington today! He is a Native Oklahoman and first Native American Astronaut!

How do you keep a bunch of little ones calmed down in a small space during a tornado warning? You blow bubbles!
Our teachers and staff did a great job at keeping our kiddos safe and calm this morning!
The best are at SGS!

3rd and 4th graders are taking their practice tests this morning to get ready for next week!

Well this has been an exciting morning!
We are all good at SGS!
Mark your calendars: Next Wednesday morning, take your kiddos to McDonald’s for a free breakfast before their tests!
This is for grades 3-8 and school employees.
Stay safe out there today!

Mrs. Morrison’s class is reading Judy Moody Saves the World and learning about recycling. They took recycled toilet paper rolls to Mrs. Varner’s Class and helped them learn the letter B by making Bunny Rabbits.

Congratulations to this month’s Students of the Month, Cherokee Students of the month, Artists of the Month, and Teacher of the Month!

The 4th graders went around and picked up trash today! Great job guys!
