We would now like to spotlight our team of teachers who work with our 4 year old Preschool Program. These ladies show up everyday to pour their knowledge, creativity, and heart into our little learners in the 4 year old program. We are so fortunate having a team creating classrooms where our learners feel loved, supported, and ready to grow!
Mrs. James has 10 years experience in the education system. In her classroom, Ms. Claire and Ms. Gracie are there to help with 12 students. "Teaching Pre-K 4s truly is the best job ever! We get to be one of their very first experiences with school and watch them grow from needing help with almost everything to becoming confident, independent little learners.
Yes, we teach letters and numbers, but we also teach kindness, friendship, patience, independence, and how to believe in themselves. And somewhere between all the hugs, silly stories, big feelings, and “look!” moments, they end up teaching us just as much as we teach them. We don’t just teach little people. We get to help build the foundation for the people they’re becoming. There’s just nothing quite like getting to love and teach four-year-olds!"
Mrs. Mattox is in her 2nd year teaching at Stilwell, her first year as lead teacher, and she is doing awesome. She has 12 students, and Ms. Stephanie is with her everyday. "Preschool is the best teaching job ever because the kids are thrilled and happy to see you every single day. They say the funniest and most honest things that will make you laugh or scratch your head. I love getting to learn, play, and explore with my kiddos while watching their little personalities grow. Watching them grow in confidence and independence throughout the year and the love they have in their little hearts is the greatest reward of all."
Ms. Caitlin Sawney is in her 4th year teaching PreK, 7 total years at Stilwell. Mrs. Neeka is her assistant/right hand with 13 students in their room.
"In preschool, we learn through playing. Everyday is a new adventure. Watching our students take risks and learn about the world around them through new experiences is extremely rewarding."
