Class of 2027 Explores College Opportunities!
Members of the Stilwell High School Class of 2027 attended the Northeastern State University- Tahlequah Area Wide College Fair on August 27.
Students had the opportunity to explore their options after high school and visit with representatives from more than 60 colleges and universities. Along with NSU, colleges from across Oklahoma and neighboring states, including Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Arkansas, were represented.
The college fair was a great opportunity for our seniors to ask questions, learn about different programs, and begin thinking about where their next chapter might take them.

Representatives from Northeastern State University and Carl Albert State College will be available in the Stilwell High School College & Career Center during Meet the Teacher Night.
Students and families may stop by on Tuesday, August 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to ask questions about concurrent enrollment, available courses, college requirements, and student resources. Students who still need to enroll in concurrent classes may also receive assistance during this time.

Due to upcoming changes to the Stilwell High School schedule, students will transition from a 6-hour to a 7-hour schedule for the 2026–2027 school year.
To ensure students are enrolled in the appropriate classes, Stilwell High School will host designated re-enrollment days beginning July 20. Families are encouraged to review the schedule and attend on their assigned day.
New students and returning students who are unable to attend their designated date may attend Open Enrollment on Tuesday, July 28.

Stilwell High School is proud to recognize 2026 graduate Wyatt Newsom on being selected as a recipient of The Gates Scholarship, one of the most prestigious and competitive scholarships in the United States.
Each year, only about 300 students nationwide are selected as Gates Scholars from tens of thousands of applicants, making it a scholarship with an acceptance rate of well under 1%. This honor places Wyatt among an elite group of student leaders across the country.

The Stilwell High School Fortnite Esports Team traveled to the University of Central Oklahoma on April 24 and captured the State Championship title, finishing the season undefeated. This marks the first Esports State Championship in Stilwell school history.
Throughout the season, these students demonstrated consistent commitment, discipline, and teamwork. They practiced with purpose, communicated effectively under pressure, adapted in real time, and supported one another as competitors and teammates.
This group established a strong foundation for Stilwell Esports through focus, accountability, and perseverance. Their achievement reflects both their dedication and the growing strength of our Esports program.

Our Stilwell TSA students put their skills to the test at the 2026 Sequoyah County Technology Challenge on February 13 at the Sallisaw ICTC Center, competing against 280 students from 28 schools.
Through teamwork, innovation, and a lot of hard work, our students earned multiple Top 3 finishes and State-qualifying spots.

Our Stilwell Girls Wrestling program has qualified two wrestlers for the 2026 OSSAA High School State Championships at the end of the month after placing at the Regional Championships held at Inola High School.
⭐Junior Monalisa Freeman placed third, battling back after losing her second match and beating the girl who put her on the consolation side.
⭐Sophomore Meychelle Heisse placed fourth, losing to the reigning and undefeated state champion and the third seeded wrestler.
Both wrestlers have worked hard this season and have grown so much from last year’s regionals. 💪
Through hard work, discipline, attitude, and tremendous effort, Mona and Meychelle have punched their ticket to state! We are so proud of these student-athletes! 🎉🎉
