lunch

Here at Stilwell Grade School we are in the 2nd year of of a great program called Capturing Kids Hearts. This program is to improve the school environment by building positive relationships between teachers and students, which leads to self-managing and high-achieving classrooms. One piece is positive reinforcement for all things good, where our student earn coins. We have a store that once a month they get to cash in coins earned for prizes. One of the prizes is a happy meal and lunch with Mr. Merrie which takes 50 coins. Our grade school counselor Alisha Drain had this to say about our program, "My favorite thing to do each month is run The PBIS Reward Store! Students are loving the chance to cash in their caught being good Coins for exciting prizes and fun experiences. The smiles and pride they show when recognized for positive behavior are what it’s all about!" Pre-1st grade Sebastian, decided right at the beginning that his goal was to save up for this prize. He did just that!! The first week of November, he was ready to cash in his coins for his happy meal and lunch with Mr. Merrie! We are so proud of his good choices that earned him so many coins, and very impressed with his will power to save until he reached his goal! Way to go Sebastian!! We are proud of all of our students who earn those coins on a daily basis, and want to keep encouraging positive attitudes and actions in our school!
